Baptism
Buried with Christ, raised to life

Baptism is an outward reflection of an inward reality. For all who have been born again by the Spirit, they are united with Christ in his death and raised to new life, just as he was raised. Therefore, water baptism through immersion is both an act of obedience and a public declaration of our identification with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

This is an act that is celebrated publically with the saints as a testimony of the word of God in a believer's life after salvation, as well as representing an affiliation with a local church.

This requires a few prerequisites:

Believer - baptism is designed for those who have been born again and have been baptized into Christ Jesus by the Holy Spirit.

Immersion - baptism is designed to be an immersive experience by which a believer is submerged into water reflecting the inward reality of being completely in Christ.

What about age?
In order to be saved, one must be able to understand that they are lost and in need of a savior and be able to articulate the gospel as well as bearing fruit, keeping with repentance. Age then isn't as critical as the fruit of a child's life. If you have any questions regarding your child being baptised, contact the office and set up a time to sit with Pastor Bo.
