First Baptist Church Tyrone has been an anchor in Tyrone and the surrounding community for over 100 years. Far from being irrelevant, FBCT has continued to change with the times, though not in terms of biblical beliefs.

We are gospel-driven to glorify God and make disciples who love God and people. We are pastor-led, Ministry organized, and congregationally authorized.  We are autonomous, self-governing, and cooperate with other Southern Baptist churches in our association, state, country and world.

We understand that God created us for a glorious and loving relationship with Him that we exhibit as His image-bearers through compassionate service to others. When presented the opportunity, we have the privilege of testifying of God’s presence, guidance and adoring care and inviting others to respond to His opens arms through repentance and faith in Christ.
