Our worship
services are a vital source of teaching and encouragement among believers –
both members and guests. We participate in music that blends theological and
praise hymns and builds to the summit of the preached message for which the
pinnacle is the personal response by worshippers. We are created to worship God and at FBCT, He
is the object and subject of our participatory worship.
We proclaim the gospel throughout our worship gatherings: we
read the scriptures, pray the scriptures, preach the scriptures, sing
scriptural truths, respond in obedience and giving, and present the gospel
through the ordinances of Believer’s Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
On the
first Sunday of every month, we enjoy “Family Worship” that takes on an
intentionally family-oriented approach, active involvement of all generations,
and opportunities for shared teaching moments that parents can discuss with
children throughout the week. Worship Participation Guides are provided for
children.
We offer
Children’s Worship experience for children K-5th grades every Sunday
(except Family Worship Sundays). The children are dismissed from the Worship
service during the fellowship/greeting time (before the sermon). We want our
children to experience as much of “big church” as they can, but understand that
they benefit from a sermon on their level.
